Read data that only lives inside an app

More and more prices, listings and feeds exist only in mobile apps, with no website to read them from. A Distilled phone opens the app as a person would, and an agent reads what is on the screen.

When the app is the only source

Delivery menus, ride prices, app-only deals and in-app feeds often have no web version, and the app checks that it is on a real phone before it shows them.

A Distilled phone answers those checks like the handset it is modelled on and browses from a US mobile carrier IP, so the app shows it what it shows its users.

  • A real handset's profile, Pixel 7 Pro, 7 or 7a on Android 13 to 16, checked when it starts and every 6 hours.
  • Passes Play Integrity, up to its strongest verdict.
  • Its own pre-checked US mobile carrier IP, or your own proxy.
  • Apps from the Play Store, our catalogue, or your own APK.
  • Driven live from the browser, or by an AI agent across many phones at once.

Reading the screen

An agent opens the app, moves through it and reads what it finds, from the screen and the app's layout. Describe what you want in plain words, run it on several phones, and every step is recorded with a screenshot.

For your own pipeline, the API returns a phone's screenshot and its interface tree, and acts on it with taps, typing and swipes.

Questions

Do I need to write a scraper?

No. You can describe the task in plain words and let an agent do it, or drive the phones from your own code through the API.

What isn't allowed?

Our acceptable use policy sets out what we don't allow. Collect data you are entitled to, and follow the terms of the apps you use.
